ANT Telecom exhibits at All Energy Exhibition and Conference 2017 10-11th May – stand F50

For the 3rd year running we are exhibiting at the UK’s largest renewable energy event at the SEC in Glasgow. Since its launch in 2001, All-Energy has provided industry suppliers, experts and thought-leaders from the renewable energy industry the opportunity to connect with new customers, increase their sales opportunities and expand business networks in this fast-changing marketplace.

ANT Telecom operates throughout the UK and Scotland and at this year’s event, we will be showcasing our Lone Worker Alarm and alert and monitoring solutions as well as a range of devices that can not only trigger an alert (if an accident occurs) but also improve communication for the mobile employees.  This includes the Thuraya SatSleeve+ and SatSleeve Hotspot, which add a satellite connection to smartphones, allowing users to converse directly from a smartphone in satellite mode.

No business wants a situation where they have staff working in isolated and remote locations, where they are unable to communicate through a lack of mobile coverage. Not only can this put employees’ safety at risk, it can impact significantly on productivity. The latest generation of communications technology can however help businesses.

With SatSleeves, a smartphone can be used to make and receive calls and send and receive SMS as well as used to send emails and instant messaging all in satellite mode. Moreover, users are able to communicate via Apps like WhatsApp, Twitter, Weather, Stocks, etc.  And this combined with our alert and monitoring solutions, means that should an incident occur leaving an employee rendered unconscious alarms are triggered and colleagues are alerted immediately.

The SatSleeve Hotspot App can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and from Google Play and includes additional features such as:

  • Full walk-and-talk capability in satellite mode
  • Incoming call alerts (calls can be received even if satellite antenna is stowed)
  • Smartphone’s address book can be used for SAT calls, SMS, and emails
  • Supported by the most robust and powerful satellite network covering over 160 countries or two-thirds of the globe
  • Satellite unit works either with Thuraya SIM card or with GSM SIM card in roaming mode (with more than 350 GSM roaming partners worldwide)
