IP Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (IP DECT)

IP DECT technology is suitable for difficult wireless environments, keeping employees and lone workers connected across the plant where there is no mobile coverage.

Operating sites that have no mobile coverage can present real challenges to staff and create additional risk for lone workers.  IP DECT can provide a powerful clear connection alternative to 2G, 3G, 4G/LTE by providing a dedicated site-wide voice network, enabling users to remain contactable on their DECT phone throughout the premises.

We provide both Ascom and Funktel DECT phones, including ATEX phones for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, and Lone Worker handsets to protect staff working alone. If your workers often work alone in areas onsite where mobile reception is poor or unreliable - this is a suitable solution.

IP DECT also provides voice and messaging capabilities, ensuring teams respond to on-site emergencies. We can also integrate existing systems including fire and building management platforms to automatically distribute critical alarm messages directly to staff on their DECT phones.
